Im worn out... the day was no picnic, but its going my way for a change..
I figured out how to get my tuition paid.... and browbeat department heads into letting me test out of some courses so I can do my traditional fast tracking and self pacing.. Seriously I know the stuff, give me the exams, ask for an essay and oral exam... whatever it takes.. I don't want to spend 6 months sitting through things I already know....
Ive had training in Ethics, Cultural Diversity, Harassment, Stress Management/Critical Incident Stress Management, Basic Grief and Death Notification,Tactical Communications (FRS/GRMS/MARS Radio Use) and an OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen Certification training
As well as CPR, CCC, AED & Advanced First Aid...
Alphabet soup and I want credits for time served....sorta
My applications caused a stir.. but I knew they would all I need is another back ground check which I already passed for my concealed carry permit... but I get one every year or so to prove I stay out of trouble.. I don't feel bad, everyone gets finger printed regardless of anything...
And I keep it on the fat side of the line..... so its all good.
Im excited... I have a couple of gigs that make my resume all sleek an fat... Tuition gets handled
and I can pick an choose where I do my internship..... Plus I get incidental training on their dime
Reupping my instructors card and pretty much anything I want...trust me I'll push the envelope...and weasel an EMT certification.. which I was busy doing before the economy went to hell
Some classes are closed to the public and one needs an agency or gov. affiliation to get in..... a note from the supervisior kind of thing...
It's been really rough the last year or two.... one thing after another going south.. nothing working out, jobs falling through...people I've known for years going shaky and shady..
Still... its starting to look really good.. one more hoop to jump through.. and Im in..
sounds like its all coming together for you, ride the wave of enthusiasm which comes through in this entry.
