I keep looking at university level technical writer courses..... some of it I can weasel from the state, I just have to dig....
I decided on where to get my AAS but.... I get to fool with the general education stuff by testing out of some of the requirements, all I need is vocabulary and comprehension proofs and maybe a 200 word essay on a topic provided by one of the professors.
Which is a hoot since I can write 1,000 words on how to boil a potato..
Ive done a lot of applicable stuff... blood bourne diseases.. advanced first aid instructor courses, CPR, AED training, pandemic influenza..and my certifications are current.... which should answer for my health courses... and make the science part easy... The irony is I actually want anatomy classes because I have an interest in Emergency Medical stuff cause you never know..and I have stuck folks including myself back together
Social Sciences... I've done a lot of diversity/ethics/public service stuff... and have the paperwork...
I want credit and evaluation.. and I can transfer my completed stuff in....
I think I have some arts and humanitys stuff floating around..... so its looking pretty good..
Plus Im an old fucker and still alive when I prolly shouldnt be.... that has to be worth 2 credits..
I notice they have a "technical writing elective"... So.. thats some excitement... now a letter needs must be written.. a resume and training sheet... class rankings and activitys... experience that relates to the program
I need 24 FEMA/EMI IS credit hours for the degree.. I have somewhere around 75.. I sent Leigh a partial list and it was pretty massive...so now I send it in as a narration and argue about credit for every little thing I can.. I need to fight them over the gen ed stuff....and plan on it..
I'll leave out being a bouncer...and babysitting goons..
